COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 is the name of the illness caused by a new (novel) coronavirus first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei province, China, around the end of 2019.  The virus – SARSr-CoV-2 (previously 2019-nCoV) – is closely related to that which caused SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome). Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred continues to wreak havoc in South East Queensland.  We hope all our patients have remained safe and impacts have been as minimal as possible.

Dr Dan and Nurse Erin will be in attendance at our rooms Monday morning 10th March.  Both Jennie and Gwen on reception will be working from home due to flooding in their areas.  They can be contacted on our usual number.

If you are able to safely attend for your appointment please arrive at your allocated time, unless we contact you to bring your appoiontment forward. We will be trying to condense the day in to the morning as much as possible.  If you are happy to have a tele-health consultation with Dr Rowe, that can be arranged and will minimise travel on wet and flooded roads around Brisbane and the great Brisbane area.  Dr Rowe will be doing extra consulting in the next couple of weeks, so if you need to re-schedule that can easily be arranged and will not result in a particularly long delay.

Greenslopes Hospital is operating at reduced capacity, so there may need to be some re-booking for operations this week. We will be in touch if this is the case for your booked surgery.

Please call our usual contact number - 3397 0444 - for any changes, rebookings, or to change to a tele-helath consultation.
